Why can’t I bookmark webpages anymore?

I regularly browse several sites and am constantly bookmarking websites and now all of a sudden its not allowing me to bookmark any sites. I click on “bookmark this page”, the little box comes up to hit ok…and nothing. Its not bookmarking the page, the box just continues to stay there unless I hit cancel. I am using web browser mozilla firefox. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
